Cornwall is one of the most inspirational locations for poets, writers and artists, and has been the focus of some outstanding creative works. Today we offer you some of our own inspirations.

Our emphasis is on the romantic, the mystical, the haunting, the magical and the sublime.

VICTORIA OSBORNE – BROAD  1- 1.25pm: – Will be reading excerpts from her trilogy of magic and mystery set in the far west of Penwith, combining the modern world of technology with telepathy, time travel and some very unusual gemstones.

JAK STRINGER 1.30 – 1.55: – Dr Richard Moyle (1784-1855) was a much respected surgeon of Penzance who, during his time, examined the murdered, tended the mining community and, through a chance meeting, became a lifelong friend of writer Wilkie Collins. Jak Stringer invites you to take tea with this most interesting gentleman of our town.’

ARIEL 2- 2. 25: – Reads extracts from “The Devil in Miss Jones: An Arcane Fable of Virtue & Witchcraft in the Guise of a Cornish Droll Tale ~ ” from her arcane and darkly mysterious poetry.

ABIGAIL OTTLEY WYATT AND DAVID ROWLAND  2.30 – 3. 10pm: Will perform live the ‘THE FOOL AND THE LIAR’-  Award winning poet Abigail Ottley – Wyatt  appears with local guitarist David Rowland, playing their combined act, the ‘The Fool and the Liar’ and will recite poetry. Abigail is a well – known local poet and published author, whose work has appeared in many publications and anthologies.

Break – 3-3.15 – Music, Coffee and Cake.

STEPHAN BLAKE- 3.15 – 3 -35: – Will be reading some short fiction inspired by Penwith

BRIDGETTE CASSESE 3- 353.50: – Reads an extract from ‘Dreams of Lyonesse’, coming soon. A supernatural – mystery set in Sennen. Haunting

JANI HEVIZI- 4.4.30: – Award winning author of ‘Shanti the Wandering Dog’ Reads an extract from her magical work…. .

REBECCA JOHNSON – BISTA – 4.30 – 5: – Recites poetry of ‘Landscapes of Cornwall’
