David Devanny

David Devanny is a multi-media artist, writer and researcher. He is currently studying for a PhD in Digital Literatures at Falmouth University where he is a lecturer in English Literature and Creative Writing. He has presented papers at a number of international peer-reviewed conferences including E-Poetry Kingston, ELO Bergen and the British and Irish International Poetry Symposium. David’s print work has been published in a wide variety of magazines and in his debut pamphlet wasps on the way (Mews Press: 2012).

David’s multimedia work has been presented and exhibited in a number of funded site-specific performances and exhibitions including The Phoenix: Cube and Glasgow School of Art and in a number of collaborations with Andrew Fentham including poetry installations at Fascinate Festival and The Hatton Gallery. His interactive piece orange sweatshirt was shortlisted for The New Media Writing Prize.


Established in 2010, Penzance Literary Festival has grown into one of the UK's favourite festivals for authors and visitors.
