
Des Hannigan
Des Hannigan is a travel writer and journalist. He came to Cornwall from Scotland in the 1960s and worked as a resident singer at the famous Count House Folk Club at Botallack. He then worked as a fisherman for fifteen years and later worked as a news reporter for Cornish newspapers and the Press Association.
His main work for the past thirty years has been as a travel writer for publishers such as Lonely Planet and AA Publishing.
He lives in west Cornwall’s Morvah parish, where there are very high cliffs and a great deal of weather.
