Jean Burnett lives in Bristol and has travelled extensively. She has lived in both North and Central America. Success in school essay competitions led to a passion for writing, although she did not achieve publication until quite late-“overnight success after 40 years.” She writes historical fiction and also travel articles. She was asked to edit and compile the diaries of Penzance’s own female explorer, Maria Caroline Bolitho.
