Roy Phillips

N. R. (Roy) Philips was born of an old St Ives family in 1930 and has been writing since boyhood. Taking a lifelong interest in the natural world, especially the wildlife of Cornwall, Roy has led an overland party of Oxford University expedition to study birds of Afghanistan and Kashmir. In 1979, he spent three months alone in Yemen to find the migration route of eagles. Roy also bred goats, geese, bees, pigs, chicken and children at a smallholding in Nancledra.
