An historian specialising in 16th and 17th century British history and Cornish history in particular, Steph Haxton lives near Penzance. She has been a teacher, living history consultant, heritage education manager and is a lapsed re-enactor. Add a Tudor castle as one of her workplaces, and you have the ‘ingredients’ of this author!

Established in 2010, Penzance Literary Festival has grown into one of the UK's favourite festivals for authors and visitors.
