Teresa Benison

Teresa Benison has published two novels with Random House, A Rational Man and The Arrogance of Women.  She is currently working on a further two novels, Looking for Jonah (a tale of vanishing children and the Folk-Rock movement of the 1970s) and another, as yet unnamed, alternative history of Britain set in 5th century Cornwall.

Before moving to Cornwall Teresa taught a programme of creative writing for the University of Cambridge ICE.  She was a member of Cambridge Storytellers and out of one of their performances (based on a selection of Arthurian tales), her 5th century alternative history opus was born.

Now living a few miles from Penzance, Teresa is co-founder of Penzance Writers’ Café and has been involved in the Penzance Litfest since 2013, her particular interest being the evolving Creative Writing strand which is now in its second full year.
