DETAILS

The natural world is a rich resource for writers and inspiration can be found everywhere: in our parks and back gardens as well as our Cornish coastlines and the wonderful Mounts Bay.

This year we are delighted to be able to offer a full day workshop with Patrick Barkham who will explore fresh ways of looking at and writing about the natural world.

Patrick Barkham is one of the most widely admired of the new generation of nature writers and is the author of The Butterfly Isles and Badgerlands, both of which were shortlisted for The Ondaatje Prize. His latest book is Coastlines: The Story Of Our Shore.

When not out in the open air he writes about natural history for the Guardian and has also taught a Guardian masterclass on nature writing.

Weather permitting, this workshop will include a walk, so please wear suitable clothes and footwear.
