Getting to Penzance

We might be at the most south-westerly tip of the UK, but Penzance is actually quite easy to reach by road or public transport. Explore the options and book your journey in good time to make the biggest savings!

By road

Go to Exeter and keep going… It is that simple! Penzance is almost at the end of the A30 that runs from London to Land’s End. The UK motorway network finishes with the M5 at Exeter, but from there it is a fast route that is nearly all dual carriageway.

By rail

Penzance is the most westerly mainline railway station in the UK and easily accessible by fast trains from London, the Midlands and Scotland. If you are travelling from London, South Wales, Bristol or destinations in the wider west country, visit GWR for the best value fares – you can also book tickets at their website for travel on the wider rail network.

By air

Newquay Airport is a 45 minute drive from Penzance and is served by summer flights from several UK and European destinations. Find out more about flights at Newquay Cornwall Airport
