Like Charles Causley, Laurence Green lives in the place where he grew up and was employed as a teacher at his old school, where he worked for 30 years. He has had seven books published between 2009 and 2018. These include a novel set in Launceston and the Torres Straits, two collections of ghost stories, a biography of his grandfather who fought in both world wars. The first full biography of Causley won him the Cornish Literary Guild Salver at Holyer an Gof in 2014.
