Michael Bird is a writer, art historian and broadcaster. His books on modern British art include The St Ives Artists: A Biography of Place and Timeand studies ofSandra Blow, Lynn Chadwick, George Fullard and Bryan Wynter.
His bestselling history of art for children, Vincent’s Starry Night and Other Stories, has been translated into twenty languages. Michael is a regular contributor to BBC Radio and his arts journalism has appeared in many publications, including Tate Etc,RA Magazine, Modern Painters and The Guardian. He is Royal Literary Fund Fellow at the University of Exeter. He lives in Cornwall.
