Noel was a student on the New Writing South Advanced writing course, led by the writers Susannah Waters and Catherine Smith. He is a journalist and editor at the international firm RBI. Noel plays the saxophone and has written stage musicals that were performed by an amateur theatre company in London and Holland. His first novel Wrecker, to be launched in July, is set in Penwith and inspired by real life incidents in Cornish history.
Noel writes ‘ the Cornwall of Wrecker is not the stage for a heritage romance; it’s a dark, pagan and mysterious land, where brutality might be around any corner’.
